Graduating Class 2012 from PCVS

Opening Reception Sunday March 11, 2 to 4 pm

Founded in 1827, Peterborough Collegiate and Vocational School, one of the oldest public schools in Canada, offers students from all around Peterborough the opportunity to take specialized programs in the arts. The Graduating Class exhibition foregrounds the school’s outstanding production.

The AGP show will feature small-scale works by students in the sculpture classes. Photography, drawing and painting students’ work will also be on display. The AGP is excited to present this exhibition of fresh works by Peterborough’s newest generation of visual artists.

Selections from the AGP’s Permanent Collection featuring contemporary and historic floral and garden based prints, watercolours and oil paintings including David Bierk’s Fantin-Latour Still Life In Progress (2000-2001), Moria Clark’s Salon (1982), Oskar Gramman’s Spendor (1981), Denis Ireland’s Garden Gate (1983) Eric Lorder’s Garden Painting (1977), John Koerner’s Sunflowers (1965), and several more preview the natural beauty of the spring season’s annual floral show. Curated by Carla Garnet.
